FLAT RATE SHIPPING

Shipping rates are based on full wholesale value of products in the shipment. Shipping on all discounted merchandise is billed at the non-discounted, full wholesale price. Additional charges may apply for larger items*. Items such as free displayers incur a shipping charge based on the wholesale price of the displayer. When shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or internationally, standard shipping charges will apply. Shipping cost is calculated after order is complete and will appear on your invoice.

A:  Yes, the flat rate will apply to back orders that are billed through Roman’s UPS Ground, FedEx, and USPS accounts.

Q: Does flat rate shipping apply to drop ship orders?

A:  Drop ship orders do not qualify. They will be billed standard UPS Ground, FedEx or USPS costs, which could include additional charges such as residential delivery, etc.

Q: How is the shipping percentage calculated?

A:  The Flat Rate is based on the wholesale (non-discounted) value of the order. See the map to identify what percentage you pay in various parts of the country.

Q:  Why do some items carry an additional fee and how can I identify these items?

A: Some items are oversized, and UPS, FedEx and USPS charge additional fees when shipping these items. The items are marked in the Roman catalogs.

Q: Can customers continue to use their own UPS account numbers and/or FedEx Ground Collect
accounts for shipping charges?

A:  Yes, a customer may choose to use his own UPS/FedEx account, however, the flat shipping rate is no longer applicable.

Q: What is the best way to minimize my shipping costs?

A:  First, utilize this flat rate shipping plan from Roman. It is designed to minimize your costs on every invoice, regardless of what you ship. You will always know what your shipping costs will be when you place your order, making it easier to price your merchandise at retail. Second, if you order an oversized item, it is best to order other product to ship along with it. Often, shipping only one or two oversized items from Roman will create higher shipping costs due to the size of the cartons and additional handling charges UPS adds to the invoice. For your benefit, Roman will monitor the overall size of your orders, and may elect to ship your order by freight if it will save you money.
